Ongoing Project:
M.A.P. Moveable Art Project

An integral part of our Foundation's mission is to foster dialogues with new voices in the artistic and curatorial fields, drawing inspiration from the stateless experience that continues to mark Marta Czok's works.

M.A.P. (Moveable Art Project) is a project that promotes new collaborations with artists, curators and institutions internationally, whose work is reflected in the experience of migration and in transcending geographical and cultural boundaries. The project aims to facilitate artistic exchanges, in the form of exhibitions, events and residencies, through which new dialogues can develop in relation to contemporary art and its role in the social context.

M.A.P., as a transcultural and interdisciplinary initiative, is a project deliberately open in its scope, so as not to set limits to artistic imagination and the collaborations that this can generate.

Objectives of the project include:

  • the creation of exhibitions within our Project Space in Venice, showcasing new artistic and curatorial perspectives that reference the themes of migration and cultural exchange;

  • the realization of itinerant artistic projects, at national and international level, that are based on these themes and promote an inclusive approach in contemporary art;

  • projects that foster a dialogue between the Foundation's Permanent Collection and emerging artists or those who have received limited visibility, sharing the experience of migration or cultural exchange;

  • Laboratories and research projects in collaboration with universities and educational institutions that foster exchanges between different nations and cultures.

What we've accomplished so far:

  • Since the opening of our Project Space in Venice, we have promoted dialogues with artists from all over the world who look at the complexity of social issues, in the local and global spheres, through collaborations with Urban Visions Film Festival and A-Place, with Takflix (Ukraine), with the Polish Embassy in Rome and with Zerial Art Project (Zimbabwe).

  • We have created intercultural university workshops and exchanges, including our collaborations with London Metropolitan University and George Enescu University of the Arts (Iasi, Romania) through ERASMUS+.
